RIO were negligent here...they cannot use the "no fault of their own" argument...clearly, such an important resource should have been treated with the respect it deserved...first and foremost, by not waiting till the last minute to renew and secondly, via a simple follow-up call to ensure all was in order.

On the latter, a precedent has already been set, to the detriment of the "negligent party".

It appears to me that there are some very uninformed individuals jumping on the "get over it" bandwagon on HC...clearly, some of you really have very little idea of what has actually transpired here, so how you feel you can make any contribution that is less than embarrassing is beyond me.

At best, we have a questionable decision here...at worst, it is corrupt...either way, CAZ have a very good case for a damages claim.

They have suffered significant loss in spite of following the Mining Act to the letter.
