    qualifications and language would help.

HEAPS of expats work in many places around the world and call places like Thailand their base - there's miles of them there.

You can also live in places in Europe - and, I guess you could get unskilled work- and live first up on a working visa - then, a temporary resident - then, go on from there - the trick there is language - and, some connection for work -

mostly - almost everywhere except where we've been with americans killing people - you, as an Aussie will be very welcomed

some sort of qualification really is the go - almost anything really, - engineering will take you anywhere, skippering etc.., nursing probably, anything to do with cooking I suggest is probably also transferable anywhere. Hairdressing - everyone uses miles of hairdressers - just make sure any qualifications can be transferred. ------ One of the most portable skills ever is hairdressing - ditto engineering - there's actually heaps.

if you go to Germany - you can study there for free - even as a foreigner. - That can set you up for all sorts of things.

Depends on what you like to do or can do etc. ---------- In France - renovating properties is a doodle in comparison to the utter crap you have to go though in Australia - you have to watch the heritage stuff - but, otherwise - it's very easy - you have to get to know the rules on tax though - that too is different. Germany for property renovation - is the pole opposite - I wouldn't even think about it.

If you don't want to consider language - give France a miss - but, have a look around the Nordics - the majority of them speak English -

you will HAVE to be ok at networking (if you want to do it easy) - if you are really really good at networking - then, you will probably do very well.

Start thinking about ideas, start thinking perhaps of qualifications AND START networking - expat groups, god knows what.

Europe has a LOT more choices than Australia. It will 'probably' take a while to settle in - but, a lot depends on if you have a network to fall into - if you are lucky enough to have the right network - you may well hit the ground running.
