Addictions like the internet, HC and stock trading all release chemicals (endorphines? adrenlin? ) into the brain. Going cold turkey you no longer get the chemicals. Withdrawal is not any fun. Depressing. My addiction answer is to switch addictions. I've switched my HC and trading addictions for other ones.
I can't stop being an addict (I need the eggs) , but I'm now doing addictive stuff that will not be destructive to my finances and health.
