You probably won't give it up but maybe the answer is to down size dramatically.
I did this when my fortunes evaporated in the dotcom era (without holding any dotcom stocks)so found myself with everything the wrong way round ,share prices declining,loans going up,margin lending making calls and income not very good.
Sold what I could ,vowed never to use margins again and started back in the market in parcels of 10% of previous trades.....worked sort of as now the addiction is manageable and possibilities remain.
End result is I'm still enjoying the market.
