    Stockjunkie22,

Feel for you mate and understand where you are coming from.

    Got heavily hit about 2002.
Similar to you, I started playing company options to try and get my money back. Then started playing with warrants.

By this time I had to tell my wife that I had lost a large chunk of our savings also we had young kids. That was the hardest thing was telling my wife even though I didn't tell her the complete story. It nearly split us up. I stopped logging into HC as well as not even going into my trading accounts. I went through alot of emotional pain coming to terms with no longer being able to even look at an economic report or anything to do with finances. As well as the emotional suffering I also developed a skin disorder similar to a nerve reaction from a trauma incident.
Believe me, not only emotionally, it can hit you physically as well.

I left the markets for about 3 years and then returned.
One of the key aspects of leaving the market is to find something else that will take up your time and fill that void in your life.

Upon my return, I set-up a plan and followed it for a few years. However, with GFC I got hit again. This time I made a concerted effort to leave funds in a couple of stocks. Don't touch them. Don't play the trading game and accumulate the physical Gold and Silver as a boring longterm investment.

By doing that, I am still in the market, still follow the financial, political, economic news, plus I can enjoy coming to HC without the fixation of following any one particular stock.

It works for me, but not an easy road to begin with.
Don't know your age, but you need to face upto the difficult decision of sharing it with your wife.
She will already know that something is up.
    Wives have built-in radars.

The point being to all my rambling.

You need to get a life and quick smart.
Change everything that you need to do.

    All the best with it.

I would expect there are many that have suffered the same fate.

Its never too late to make a change.

    Cheers markco2
