I currently trade locally and have a pershing account in USD vis commsec (the interface is significantly worse than even the basic commsec)

Is there any other way to trade on the NYSE/NASDAQ?

I've seen local ETFs like like NDQ or even indexs like VGS but the gaps are enormous and volume is tiny.

I normally swing trade but from time to time day trade but don't like to be half awake day trading.

I guess the other magic question is, how do you trade in USD without a proper hedge in case the currency rate changes dramatically (probably not an issue with me as I only keep things for a few weeks max)?

If you are exchanging from AUD to USD, who do you use? I use a local forex exchanger like kunlun.
