" Even a newspaper is on credit card. "
You must have a good newsagent, P2W. Mine impose a fee of $4.20 (from memory) for eftpos. So the humble Sunday Times ($2.20) would cost me $6.40. Some shops here have a minimum transaction limit of $15-$16. Even the Video shop.
They should all be sick by now of my :"Please get in the spirit of things, put your balaclava on and hold a gun to my head as I swipe my card".
Dunno why, but Eftpos must be dearer for them than straight out credit card.
I thus find it easier to just plonk my $2.20 on the counter.
