I only do the newspaper as a single item at the majors and servos, and on Amex! Pay back...lol
My newsagents allow only V/MC and one has a $5 minimum and the other no minimum. I usually do lotto, paper, a mag or some Scratchies to make it around a $10 purchase and up.
