now don't laugh
the leather as its a aminals skin
after tanning will dry out
and the fibres will break.... shows as cracking then breaking etc
and this must be relubicated again
and the best way is an animal's fat
suggestion
just use some butter, as this is pure animal's fat
rub it on, allow over night to soak in
and wipe clean a couple of times
cannot do that
then use Dubbin as above
