It might end up with a Division that is a replacement for Chemeq - an Animal/Veterinary Division.
Those who watched that company will know that its intention was to develop an antibiotic substitute that could be used in animal production - with pigs, chickens, fish-farms, etc. The problem with use of antibiotics for that purpose is/was that it would promote the development of superbugs.
What would be needed for that purpose is a product that is an effective anti-infective that would also kill superbugs.
Does anyone on these threads know of any recent developments in that area ?????.
Does RCE have a second, yet undisclosed plan, to (re)enter that area.
It is an extremely large potential market?
Are the developments for human use that we are observing just the first phase of a long-term, and long-held, plan?
