I am tossing up whether to change our SMSF Accountant for a number of reasons, but mainly due to the significant jump in fees for just doing the tax return. Our SMSF is pretty basic - cash, blue chip ASX and minimal trades, with all paperwork collated and provided to the Accountant.
I have had a look in our local area and there are plenty - What should I be looking for, CPA etc and what questions should I be asking in addition to their SMSF experience ?
Is it better to just go on an hourly rate for the Tax Return preparation ?
Can anyone provide an estimate of what they are paying in Perth for SMSF Tax Return preparation and SMSF audit. All help appreciated,
