I told the agent at the open home I'd email her my offer that day. I sent a final price with a 72hour period for the owners to think about it.
RE agent called to say they wanted a $10k deposit just to place a deposit and I said no thanks. The offer was accepted the next day and settled 5 weeks later - this was in QLD March 2012.
