    from what I've read about them they don't carry the loans as you point out and must clip the ticket on them. Also they provide a tool for people to pay down debt as they purchase and in turn this tool acts as a mouse trap to catch financial behaviour and helps to determine credit scores which feeds back into their loan offering. Hope this helps a little
