I think they are partly to blame (& have been left to carry the TOTAL loss), but where were the "stewards" to vet the (clearly false, after the fact) announcements that induced the mug punters to act, and hand out some suspensions to those who perpetrated the falsehoods - some of them are still OK to be directors of public companies . . . come on !!!

These huge examples only go to confirm the general sorry state of corporate governance & accountability. If the big end of town (which is far more in the spotlight) is so confident as to blatantly mislead, then imagine the immunity that the bottom dwellers feel they have.
