marmaduke: people do indeed 'still need food' but i wonder if/why you prefer MTS to the other giants.... WOW and WES. WOW has (as a %) about half the debt of MTS and pays 70% of earnings as divs. The others have more debt and pay up to 90% out as divs. WOW seems safer to me. Margins are tight all around. WOW has the highest ROE (about 36) but i expect ROE will fall for all 3 firms. Considering all the risk out there, this mkt isn't cheap imo. 4,000 level on ASX not implausable. Very hard to be certain re anything.
