feel sorry for those have held for so long and not realised the possible gains that could have been made when the nearology story was running. Fact is though that TON still have a lot of work to do to turn the company fortunes around. This is not a bad thing, it's just defining a resource takes time.
There are 2 end games.
1) seek to be taken over - which if holders are honest is a long, long way off. There is no proven resource as yet. I know this comment with irk some holders but the truth is that drill spacings were close enough to define a measured or indicated resource. Far too much of the resource is in the inferred category which quite frankly meant that the JORC was lucky to get a stamp of approval at all. Another factor here is the metallurgy...it just doesn't come up to scratch yet and needs more work. In the rush to get the JORC out it seems that there were a lot of corners cut and at the end of the day the people in the know can see this. Hopefully the 2015 drilling season helps finish off the question marks. TON's neighbour, SYR, has been shopping it's wears around for over a year now with no success. So what does this say about TON's chances?
2) take the bull by the horns and mine for a profit - again, production is a long way off. No point mining if you don't have a customer and TON haven't shown the faintest sniff of finding a customer as yet. Perhaps they don't have the right people on the board of directors with connection in the right places to sure this up. Or maybe no customers are interested until the resource and metallurgy are more precise.
So all in all it's not the end of the world.....far from it, but those hoping to make a quick buck on TON did so back in June and July....oh, and those that bought the trading day before the JORC and sold the day of the JORC. Those few days of suspicious trading activity should have been a red flag.
Today saw the largest volume traded day since the JORC and it was all one way. There wasn't that many massive trades but looks like plenty of mid range holders exited today as they needed spending money for xmas presents.
Hang in there....life is like a box of chocolates.
