i would agree with you, imo since 9/11 the markets have been nitoriously hard to pick, as they have been eratic. imo they will continually be hard to pick, because we are going through a paradigm shift / big changes.
i have favoured buying quants as they invest in the market trend. no withstanding such, i have not made much money in the last few years.
