NBN's corporate plan is factoring in a 7% return. It is frustrating to hear so many Australians express opinions about things rather than forming them after doing some actual research and looking beyond their own back yard.

Long term bandwidth demand predictions also remains strong with an Analysys Mason report on
access networks for the UK regulator, Ofcom (2010), estimating the continued evolution of
residential demand for both upstream and downstream bandwidth. This is being driven by the
emergence of e-government, e-health, e-learning, e-business, e-homes, Cloud Computing, IPTV, and
Social Networking / User-Generated services.
