    Depends on how far you are from the exchange, the number of connections spliced from a single node at the exchange and the quality of the copper.

    I lived a couple hundred metres from an exchange once and with a modem that supports Annex M I was getting 20 down and 2 up. Now I'm a lot further away I get 6 down and .7 up.

    My ISP said I was getting good speed. Lol, Internet in Australia is a joke. Third world countries get better speeds
