I hope you guys are right, but I think it will be a sudden jolt (reason for production levels to change), like us shale producers going belly up.. Then oil producers and searchers will rise 15 20%, but then I think it'll taper off for round 3 months, due to the levels of stored oil that have been reported around the world.. From what I have heard there are companies building bunkers and warehouses to store oil at its current price.. Once that goes, then price may rise, but then some of these mothballed projects may come back into play.. I don't think we will ever see 100 a barrel again...
Not to mention tesla, Google, Apple, General Motors, all getting into electric cars.. We will always need oil, but the proportions, even with population growth may start to taper in the next 10 years..
