Some interesting reading here and healthy debate. Beament has steered NST rather well and proved to be extremely capable. Early on @ Paulsen costs started to run out and he moved from a contractor work force to an in house work force, ie he had more control. He has also surrounded himself with very capable senior staff. My concern is now with these acquisitions is he going to be able to show the same amount of control and note these are JV operations. So there will have to be some consensus. TBR is a very different company to NST as it is really run like a private company (do some research if you doubt me), so there could be some difficulty there. I've held NST from the early days and enjoyed the benefits of that, but I will be keeping a very close eye on the progress now. I should note he has made no secret of expanding the company and I believe he has bought @ the right time, it's just the JV and will it be run with the same structure as Paulsen.
