When you consider say the total global GDP is somewhere around $95 - $110 Trillion and the oil and gas side of that is a mere 3.6% (give or take) and then when you also consider the indirect employment and business created by this industry I firmly believe that the O&G industry will be around for at least another 50 years or more. Tyres, plastics, rubber seals, hoses, cosmetics,Medicine, etc, etc, etc It is gong to take time to find replacements for all these hydrocarbon based products. In short, We are all addicted to oil.
