The SP is being manipulated because someone is making money from it, pure and simple. In the absence of any positive news to reverse the slide it will probably keep on happening. Bad news if you need to cash out, probably good news if you believe in the long-term fundamentals and company future and can afford more shares. Ironically, given all the discussion on O&G vs. "green" alternatives, an almost identical discussion is going on over at PLS, which finds its share price under the control of shorters and algos and won't be in a position to turn its fortunes around until it fixes production and/or sees a significant turnaround in the spodumene price. This is not a sector phenomenon, it is happening right across the ASX.
