Beam Communications Commences Telstra Deliveries for Major ARTC Project
In April 2007 an announcement was made in relation to a major contract Beam
Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Reach Limited, had secured with Telstra
Corporation Limited for the supply of Beam satellite communication equipment.
The contract between Beam and Telstra supports Telstra’s contract with the Australian Rail
Track Corporation (ARTC) for the deployment of a communications network.
Beam’s Satellite equipment is being used as part of an overall communications system for
locomotives as well as some niche Beam solutions being incorporated into a specialised back
up communication installation for tunnels.
During March 2008 Beam commenced the delivery of this equipment and will continue
scheduled deliveries until the end of June.
This significant order once again reinforces the strength of Beam’s product offering in the global
market place for satellite communication solutions.
