New here. Purchased 900 units of AEF recently (unfortunately close the peak at 5.43) as I believe ethical investing is definitely on the rise.
Especially after the recent bushfires, there's been a shift of people's attitudes towards investing in general. People are starting to sit up and take notice about what their money is funding. There's even an ongoing
lawsuit against REST Super for failing to take climate change risks into account.
I have my personal reservations about ethical investing and have not switched super funds, the bulk of my investment outside super is still in an index tracking ETF. Having said this, there's definitely profit to be made - not from investing in ethical funds directly, but from investing in companies which manage said funds. Profit coming from strong growth of FUM as more people switch super even if for "feel good" reasons.
