the bit about gold in safe deposits has been around for a while, before 9/11, because of the previous experience of gold confiscation in the usa way back when. The gold freaks say buy physical gold and bury it in your backyard! Coins might be more tradeable 'when the time comes'... tho also more traceable..
Theres a lot of scarey stuff on the web for sure... not sure how much is 'information' and how much is paranoid conspiracy stuff..
