I'm not playing BHP that way. I deal with what is before me today (i.e. oil price/metal prices/US/Aust exchange rates) and try to avoid thinking too much about what will happen in the future. Am writing put options about 1 strike level below the market price. That way I have a margin of error if BHP falls by a few % (like it did in early May).
Of course if BHP rises very rapidly I miss out on significant gains.
