(Only if our leaders and successive Governments around the world put 1% of their GDP and efforts towards peaceful means rather than focusing most of their effort on antagonising others; they would have been able to save the planet as well as their 5-10% of collective GNP and improve the quality of life (i.e. health and education)for mankind in a meaningful way.

People are easly lead, we are a herd animals that need to be lead, we function by prejudice real or imagined, most prejudices are imagined, imagination is formed by conditioning, what you have got to do is find the leaders conditioning your imagination and recondition their imagination.
