Tabloids will be all over this like a rash, especially because it's a young attractive person.
It seems like overkill for sure, but i would say the cops did it because over 30kms down a motor way would be considered non essential travel. no reason they could not get driving experience around the local neighborhood.
Again i don't really agree with the fine but that will no doubt be the reason the cops will give and i doubt they will get out of it, where they going further then frankston? who knows?
I don't like the rules either, im not allowed to drive out to a lake for a fish where there would be no one in sight a similar distance away as it's apparently not essential travel, but im obeying the new rules.
