Either simple lap analysis or both I'd say. If you've done an assay/analysis of something and know the chemical make up is as expected you would know your own chemical processes enough to decide if it meets spec based on that. Sure some might make a next stage processed product out of it.
Doesn't really matter anyway as it wouldn't take long.
