I know that, but that's just life unfortunately. Telco's destroyed the telegraph system and from my understanding the older folks who had their money in that lost big time. VOIP will kill Telstra. Hard to say who to blame, one thing for sure is that Ziggy never spent the necessary money to take TLS out of the stone age and the govt supported him on that position, being oh so happy to take their whopping dividend for treasury rather than having the money spent on one of the worst quality phone systems in the developed world.
All I can say Shane is that throughout history unfortunately novice investors are always the losers, because they don't know what they are doing. They buy ... they leave their money in that stock, without having any understanding of the business or the fundamental and technical analysis of the stock. Sad, but has always been the way!
