The NAB makes great hiring decisions What are you talking about? Look at the track record. They bought Clydesdale Bank in the UK - great idea: the Chairman of Clydesdale was Cameron Clyne - he became the NAB CEO before going on to be Chairman Australian Rigby and look how well that has worked out! Then they hired Mike Baird to run the consumer bank. Truly visionary. Look at Baird's record as NSW Premier - the light rail to Randwick is a triumph of vision over adversity and worth every one of the hundreds of nearly 100 year old Morton Bay Figs that were turned to wood chip to achieve the ambition: and who needs trees anyway - its not as thought they were planted to create a grand avenue celebrating the return of the first of the ANZAC's from the Great War or anything significant - they were just pesky trees in the way of a grand vision - and its not as though they could have been saved by using the old tram line - that would have cost $-millions!
And the NAB appointed Ken Henry as its Chairman. What a performance at the Royal Commission - why Dr Henry must have spent all the time he had available in the cab ride from the airport to the Commission hearing preparing his responses. It was a showcase in corporate governance. Why the Royal Commission has only cost shareholders $-billions and only 72 recommendations of the Royal Commission have been adopted by the bank. It was a triumph. Such a pity Dr Henry elected to spend more time with his wife and family immediately following such a stellar defence of the banks activities

No. The NAB's track record speaks for itself. Senior management and Board appointments have been second to none - and it shows in the long term performance of its share price.
