I’m not overly convinced with many of the points there. Immigration needs addressing but in line with other policies such as 6 which, as we discussed on another thread yesterday, needs a much larger target and cover multiple,e target industries. We would then have good reason to have immigrants in key areas of development.
And if the SMH think health and education is all the regions are missing then they need to get out of Sydney more, certainly to look at the potential of developing huge swathes of regions left to rot.
I also think if you address the critical things like agreements between LN parties goes away - I mean who really gives a fig what is agreed?
This is where planning comes in on a federal level and even the SMH can’t get it right and they have to use their imaginations for a living. It’s a shambles but so easy to rectify. It needs a bit of the Australian Story called ‘Hard Work’ but while you glory in the trough of protecting the rich and self gratifying oneselves, you are doomed. Hard work is certainly not what our politicians are about.
