I know there could be a few variables but just wondering on thoughts??
Reason I ask is i have a large capital loss from a few years ago and expect to make up that difference with LYC. Once I do I will sell my shares and rebuy in my wifes names as for tax reasons I dont need any extra income from dividends.
But my wife thinks you need to hold a share for x amount of time to get a dividend payment?? I thought you just had to buy befor the dividend was released??
