in terms of tax and dividends - if you receive more than 5k in dividends in any one financial year you must hold a share for a min of 45 days for tax purposes to be entitled to that dividends FRANKING CREDIT.
if you receive less than 5k worth of divs, you can buy a day before the ex div and still be entitled to the franking credt.
