My first post, I am relatively new to AVQ, here are the findings of the little research that I have done.

I was concerned at how long these legal proceedings could possibly take. Here are my views.

From the recent AVQ announcement it mentions Sumitomo are challenging the following parties:

    - Minister of Mines & Energy & Attorney General (Minerals Board)
The board works in conjunction with the Minister of Mines to issue the prospecting and mining licenses so likely on the validity of the prospecting license and the process for approving it. SI Government has not helped, why sack the minister after granting the license? If they stuffed up then, makes you wonder what the road will be like to obtain a mining license.

    - Commissioner of Lands & Registrar of Titles
Initial High court ruling listed below, I could not find anything more recent but it does list the customary land owners. I have seen posts claiming that there is no chance to appeal but am yet to find anything to confirm this.

    - The Kolosori Landowners: For stuffing them around and handing their support for a little know explorer, the below comments from Sumitomo.

SEAN DORNEY: The local boss of the Solomons subsidiary of the Japanese mining company, Sumitomo, Yoritoshi Ochi is a little bewildered at how Axiom got the prospecting licence.

YORITOSHI OCHI: I wondered how the Mineral Board select this company because the tender requirement said many things.

The most important feature of this requirement is that the company has to have the facilities or the technology to put a process plant in the country. And we are the only one of the few companies who have the technology to extract low grade nickels.

    - Another company unrelated to Axiom, irrelevant, unlikely to affect us but is likely to be linked with the Isabel project.

Could be relating to the below topic.

Sumitomo probably know that their is no chance in hell that they will be able to enter this project again. I believe that Sumitomo will drag this out as long as they possibly can to hurt as many stakeholders as possible. They have spent a great deal of time, years of court action and money in this project to have it taken from under their noses. Although I believe that it is unlikely that they will win in court, I think it may be some time before we will actually see some real progress. We all knew it was coming, Ryan Mount called Sumitomo for a truce earlier in the year after winning the battle (prospecting license). Judging by the reaction i guess it means we finally go to war.

    Thanks for reading.
