It's headed 'Lawrence Springborg stumbles to explain deficit plan' Good yarn. Has a reference to some of his made-up vocab too, like how he'd make jobs denecessary and front-end people...He's just not up to it the poor thing.
And yes, I've seen today's Galaxy poll in the Courier. Try having a look at p7 - the Dennis Atkins analysis.
It says, in part, 'One thing that stands out is the commanding lead Bligh holds on a range of questions we've asked about the character of the leaders - especially on the key questions of who is a stronger leader, who has a vision for Queensland and who is in touch with the concerns of Queenslanders. The other significant result is that the LNP went backwards on the question of whether they deserve to win - it was a minor retreat of 3 per cent but this is statistically significant. It's politically important too because this was the week when Lawrence Springborg was going to get his economic message out. To lose confidence votes when you are shouting a key message is a bad sign.'
You kind of have to drill a little deeper than the front page of the Courier to see what the poll really shows.
2pm ABC Brisbane news just had another uranium mention...
Cheers all.
