    It is not the role of the government to adjust the interest rate.

    You, Sabbath, evidently need to consult the Governor of the Reserve Bank to inform him that "If interest rates were 5% I most likely wouldn't bother with too many equities in my SMSF ...." However, I suspect he wouldn't listen to you.

    The interest rate is an economic instrument which plays a far more important role than appeasing self-funded retirees. lol
