I have seen several sites with Pie Kiosks in Western Australia.

Some at BHP minesites, Carousel Westfield Shopping Centre, Varios hospitals and Hotels.

They are around. But they are slow like dial up and they cost $1 per 10 min. Not a very competetive price or speed.

Australia has Next G mobile intrnet broadband. It is accessable through all Next G phones. Unless you didn't have a mobile phone you would not need a kiosk very often.

I imagine the market only exists for travellers and people unable to operate mobile phones with internet.
