I've done quick and simplistic calculation based on Morgan Stanley stock analysis on BPT 9(02 sept'08).
Price valuation was (assuming exchange rate $US/AUD = 82c)
Bull Case = $2.14 (assumption oil us $115 or AUD$140)
Base Case = $1.44 (assumption oil us $85 or AUD$103)
Bear Case = $1.05 (assumption oil us $70) or AUD$85)
If we make simplistic adjustment to the valuation solely based on exchange rate, adjusted price valuation should be : (oil price $42, exchange rate US/AUD 65c or AUD$64):
Adjusted Bull Case = 97c (55% lower)
Adjusted Base Case = 89c (38% lower)
Adjusted Bear Case = 79c (25% lower)
