I wish house prices had crashed 45% as those doomsday dreamers predicted so that I can buy 2 investment properties. It was all over media last year. It was even on 60 MINUTES program. It seems to be so easy to throw wild and extreme doomsday speculations nowadays with the exponential growth of digital media over the last 10-15 years. It reminds me of the "prediction" of Tesla shares to fall to $zero by a shorter on CNBC 3 years ago at the time Tesla share price was around $250. Tesla sp few days ago reached $6000 a piece (accounting for 1:5 share split). Most of Tesla shorters have accepted huge losses, licked their wounds and moved on.
