Chalea thanks for posting the link to rectangles. I for one found it useful.

As for filling gaps some of the earlier posters might be happier if they simply acknowledge that it is a theory based on observation which has become part of TA folklore. As such it makes no attempt to explain why the gaps are filled just that they frequently do.
In the case of MAK the GFC, bear market and rapidly deteriorating domestic economy surely go some way to explaining why this gap might fill.

I know TA purists say that the price contains all (including forthcoming nasty announcements for example) but I personally feel that to a degree TA is self fulfilling. The gap will now fill because enough traders think it must/will.

We will see.
