    pints, I agree, there is no need to step on something others find sacred to make a point. They are politicising an institution which is deserving of respect and goes to the heart of decency in a civil society. My issue is that you are using it to also push a political point. This thread was always about delegitimising anti-climate change politics, not desecration of a cenotaph in England.

    I note you hold your punches when it is your side of politics. You couldn't resist saying you support their cause. Maybe you could likewise say, you support action on climate change "but desecration is not justifiable under any circumstances."

    Then we could agree.
