Of course wheat is a staple and will continue to be. In the decade ahead, forecast world demand will outstrip current supply capabilities by a fair way, unless technology can be improved. I do think that will happen at a genetic level, especially drought resistance research but there could be a period in the interim where price has to ration demand and I am bullish the wheat price on a 5-10 year basis.
