If the share price did a quick hike upwards due to a strong fundamental announcement or from strong market sentiment it would change the MACD in a flash and all of the T/A tools would start to indicate a buy signal again.

It's important to look at both Fundamentals and technical in times like this IMO as sooner or later the true fundamentals will prevail as it is always the fundamentals that actually drive the share price over the medium to long term.

As I said previously people are starting to get a little comfortable with the downtrend the same way that people get a little too comfortable and complacent with uptrends and there will be a bear trap in there at some stage IMO.
