Only on-market trades affect the price.
Sometimes institutional investors (funds, banks, brokerages) sell down a portion of their stock, to cause a price decline to a target level, triggering stop losses (and panic selling), so they can accumulate at a low price.
A catalyst might be required (gold price rise, or positive news) to get RMS moving back upwards. It's trading about 40% below the average analyst price target at the moment.
