I'm seeing the same as you. Reaction time on losing share price etc. Simular to your dream analogy (Johnny farts in New york and we lose money in Australia because some dickwad thinks it's going to cost us big time in air freshner.) it doesn't take a genius to realise the fart will be dispersed before it gets here. A lot of it driven by media wanting clicks.
And the gonads thing. Opening up the right to mine Uranium and probably a load of other things in WA to allow the country to earn more money to move the prosperity index of the country forward. But they are only interested in the here and now appeasing their political base not the future prosperity of the country. cheers
