I totally agree that lynas should have appointed a local government relations director who will be responsible for media and govt relations and be the local spokesperson. I believe like many western companies lynas has relied too much on "legal" grounds rather than emphasise on "relationship" . We all know that this is a political and not a legal bun fight. The best person that easily come to mind is long time PM Dr Mahathir. On a voluntarily basis he has just come out in defence of Lynas. Make him a consultancy offer and I believe the sailing will be much smother.
