There are more than 70 million cars built in the world per year at the moment. Most likely 98 or 99% of them are ice engined cars built from a technology that has evolved over 100 years.

Mainstream evs are less than a decade old and therefore don't have the same economies of scale that ice cars do.
And yet, they are catching up fast. Prices are falling, performance and particularly range has increased significantly. Charging networks are growing daily.
It's only a matter of time. The writing is on the wall for ice cars.
