    Rubbish.

The electric motor in an ev today is not the electric motor that was built a century ago. Electric motors have been specifically designed for electric vehicle use in the last decade. New versions are only coming to the market now. All in small volume compared to ice engines.

That's why we have gone from DC to AC for example.

And, it's not all about the electric motor. Control systems specifically designed for evs have also only been developed recently. Porsche's 800volt system is proof of that and they are not the only ones going that way.
Then there's battery management. It's also only recently that a lot of research and development has gone into battery management. That's why batteries are lasting much longer now and the car conditions it's batteries accordingly .

All very recent stuff. Not like petrol powered ice engines that have had a 100 year head start.

As for grid connectivity, maybe you should do some reading. If car ownership continues like it is now, fleets of cars plugged in to suppliment the grid will be absolutely normal.
